This policy applies to the Android application Chain Reaction
(package com.mafium.chainreaction), distributed through Google
Play. The app is developed and published by an individual developer,
contactable at the address at the bottom of this page.
You can install the game, play its offline modes, and finish every built-in level without creating an account or using a network connection. Information is sent off your device only when an optional online feature is used or an existing Play Games session is restored for leaderboards.
Leaderboards. If Play Games has already authorised the app, or you choose to sign in and post a Challenge score, the following is collected:
Your gamer tag, score and move count are public: that is what a leaderboard is. Anyone using the app can see them. The tap log is not.
Community levels. Anyone can browse published Community levels. If you submit a level, Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous account identifier when needed, and the following is collected:
A submission is private to the developer while it is reviewed. If it is accepted and published, its level name, layout, par, and author name become public in the Community collection. The account identifier is retained for ownership and moderation but is not displayed as your author name.
Google Firebase services may also process technical authentication and security information, including an IP address, app/SDK identifiers, and user agent information, to operate and protect the service.
There is no advertising, no advertising identifier, no crash reporting, no location, no contacts, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
The app declares INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE.
These exist solely for leaderboards, cloud sync, analytics, and Community levels. No permission that
Android considers sensitive — location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage
— is requested.
The app saves a small amount of data locally so your progress survives closing it. This never leaves your device except through Android's own backup system, described below. It consists of:
The app also writes its sound effects to its own temporary cache folder the first time it runs. These are generated on your device rather than downloaded, and Android may clear them at any time.
Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
The saved data above is eligible for Android's standard Auto Backup, so your progress can follow you to a new device. That backup goes to your own Google Drive account under Google's terms, not to the developer, who has no access to it. You can turn this off in your device's system settings under Backup.
There is no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no in-app purchases. Optional online features and telemetry are built on these Google services:
Nothing is sold. Google processes data as a service provider to run these features. The leaderboard and published-level fields explicitly described as public above can be seen by other players; private tap logs and account identifiers cannot.
Google Play itself collects information when you download or update any app, independently of this one. That is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
A leaderboard entry is kept for as long as it stands, so that records last. Community submissions and published levels are kept so they can be reviewed, moderated, and made available to players. You can sign out of Play Games at any time from the side menu, which stops further leaderboard posts.
To have a leaderboard entry, stored tap log, Community submission, published level, or associated account record deleted, email the address at the bottom of this page and include the gamer tag or Community author/level name needed to identify it. It will be removed after ownership is verified. Deleting the app alone does not remove information already posted because it lives on a server, not only on your phone.
The app is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children under 13 as a target audience. Its online features are optional. Play Games profiles are governed by Google's age rules, and Community submissions must not contain personal information.
If you have never used the online features, clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes the locally stored game data described above.
Rights of access, correction, deletion and portability apply to your online leaderboard and Community data. Use the contact address below and they will be honoured after the record can be identified and ownership verified.
If a future version changes what the app stores or how an online feature uses data, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
